Two of the top three teams in the AAC do battle in Memphis on Friday night and I'm backing the home dog. Last year's final score (Tulane 38-28) was misleading. Memphis actually out-gained the Green Wave but finished with five turnovers and a minus-four turnover margin. Tulane owns a solid passing attack but deep metrics show a lot of issues on the ground. Meanwhile, the Tigers' defensive deep metrics against the pass are fantastic and match up extremely well with Tulane's offense. Memphis is 4-1 SU this season with the lone loss coming by seven points to Missouri and the Tigers beat Boise State last time out. They've had a week off to prepare for Tulane and we think they knock off the Green Wave.
