#249. Take New Orleans Saints over Minnesota Vikings
(NFL) New Orleans vs. Minnesota,
Point Spread: -2.50 | -120.00 New Orleans (Away)
Result: Loss
You have two 5-4 teams here and if you would have told me that the Saints would be 5-4 at the beginning of the sesaon and the Vikings with Cousins hurt, still at 5-4, I'd be quite surprised and here we are. I absolutely love the fact that these Saints won their last game in a close dogfight against the Bears. They did not play particularly well, they did not cover the spread and the Bears if it wasn't for Bagent's 3 interceptions, might have even won that game. This is a good spot here for New Orleans. They lost to this team by 3 points last year, and I think they will be more than motivated to do well as there is history between these two teams historically as well. This is a good public fade. You have to ask yourself, why is New Orleans favored. They are favored despite Josh Dobbs balling out in Atlanta and this team scoring well into the 30's. Remember, Atlanta's defense is young and suspect. These Saints are a veteran team, very savvy and there is no way that Minnesota has the level of success they had against Atlanta. New Orleans nearly beat the red hot Jaguars. I also think that the aura of Dobbs in his first game will wear off a little bit and I don't think the Saints will take this game lightly at all. We love the Saints to get after it on defense and get it done this week.
