Memphis comes in off two bad losses to South Florida and Tulane, which dropped them from #10 to #19, and Penny Hardaway was quoted as saying - "We're not in a crisis right now," Tigers coach Penny Hardaway said, per the Memphis Commercial Appeal. "We've lost some leverage -- a bunch of leverage. But we still have a team that can make it to the Final Four and play with anybody in the country. Our defense can go from horrible to great just from the tweaks we're doing this week." We think Memphis bounces back here with a win and likely pull away late as Penny Hardaway has been in his guys ears all week probably. Keep in mind Memphis has had an entire week off to prepare for this game.
