Both Arizona State and Mississippi State had dominant performances in their season openers, setting up an intriguing non-conference matchup. Arizona State's offensive performance in their 48-7 victory over Wyoming was impressive, and they only allowed 118 yards to Wyoming's offense.

Blake Shapen’s performance in his debut for Jeff Lebby’s offense at Mississippi State was impressive, he completed 15 of 20 passes for 247 yards and 3 TD's.

Sam Leavitt completed 14 of 22 passes for 258 yards and two TD passesvs Wyoming, and we actually think he does quite well again here. Remember you have a MSST team headed to Arizona in September, which is brutal heat. We were on the Sun Devils last week, and we will ride them again here.
