Cecconi vs Vasquez here. Cecconi has had trouble this year, with a 5.59 ERA in 37 innings. The Padres need a win man. They have now dropped four straight, and got swept by the lowly Angels. They are still .500 on the year, and it will certainly be hard to win this division with the Dodgers in it, but they have Wild Card aspirations but they need wins. Randy Vasquez has not been all that great either, but we think with his team really needing a good performance, he steps up here and San Diego gets a much needed win.
