Major
(NCAAB) Buffalo vs. Texas-Arlington,
Point Spread: -3.00 | -103.00 Texas-Arlington (Home)
Result: Loss
Buffalo is 1213 miles away from home and play just two days after losing to the top ranked team in the nation. That is one tough spot. They opened up the season with a not-so-impressive two-point win at home to South Dakota. That is three games in five days, the second of back-to-back road games fresh off their toughest foe and biggest game of the season.

The Mavericks, a member of the Sun Belt Conference, opened the season with an 86-75 victory at Bradley. Four starters, three of them guards, scored in double figures for the Mavs.

Senior guard Lonnie McClanahan, who did not start, is the returning scoring leader. He averaged 14 points per game last season and is a preseason first team All-Sun Belt selection. Not bad for a guy who comes off the bench.

UTA gets center Anthony Walker back from suspension as well.
