Stony Brook is the pre-season pick to win the America East and won 20 games four of the last five years. They are led by projected Atlantic East player of the year, 6-8 junior forward Jameel Warney. Warney averaged a team high 14.5 points and 8.0 rebounds.

They catch a team off a seven-point loss to their biggest non-conference rival Georgia Tech. This is the underdogs last chance until Jan. 2 to make a statement to a power conference team. Look for them to threaten to pull of the upset before getting a single digit loss.
