Wise Guy
(NFL) Miami vs. Jacksonville,
Money Line: 115.00 Jacksonville (Home)
Result: Loss
The public loves betting Hall-of-Fame game participants in week 2. There used to be some validity to that, but those days are good. Miami continues to be a team that looks much better on preseason publication than on the field.

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill struggles, throws multiple interceptions Tuesday. There are no stats or video replays at practice. Tannehill definitely threw three interceptions (two to rookie Will Davis and one to Brent Grimes), but writers gave him a fourth interception early in practice when Kheeston Randall leaped up during team drills and appeared to snag a Tannehill pass. He has shown nothing at all so far.

Sure, I will grant you that Miami with high expectations and off a dud in the Hall-of-Fame game may have some urgency. But they are overrated. Jacksonville has two okay QBs who need to treat it like a regular season game. The Jags playing in-state rival at home will be plenty motivated. A home dog this early in preseason is somewhat rare. Miami has done nothing to justify it.
