Major
(NCAAF) Arizona vs. UNLV,
Point Spread: -10.50 | -107.00 Arizona (Away)
Result: Win
As stated, we expected Arizona to be drastically improved, especially on defense. With a ton of injuries and a bunch of young players thrown out there before they were ready, the Cats struggled to learn the complicated 4-2-5 defense. They return 20 guys who started at least one game on defense are are so much better.

Look for Arizona to run the ball more this year with a sweet 1-2 punch of KaDeem Carey, the leading rusher in the nation and Daniel Jenkins ran 12 times for 139 yards, including a 91-yard touchdown in the opener. With a new QB playing on the road, the Cats will be pretty conservative by Rich Rodriquez standards.

Last year Arizona averaged 83 snaps on offense. Last week they had 47 and just 13 passes. Suffice to say, they will open it up more this week, but do not look for anything like last year.

Quarterback B.J. Denker was 9 of 13 for 87 yards, by far the fewest passing yards in Rodriguezs 14 games as the UA coach.
