(NFL) San Diego vs. Philadelphia,
Total: 54.00 | -110.00 Under
Result: Win
Again, the Eagles snap the ball 80-90 times. Head coach Chip Kelly admitted he would like to speed it up more. In fact, the biggest mistake was taking the foot off the gas pedal and allowing Washington back into the game.

Philadelphia did get a somewhat surprising effort out of their defense, but that was against a very rusty Robert Griffin III. Yes Phillip Rivers is a grossly overrated QB, but he is feast or famine. He will certainly attack a shaky defense and may throw a pick 6 or two along the way. But it is not that he throws too many incompletions and the Chargers punt. He scores quickly or turns the ball over.

Football Outsiders has a very good stat Adjusted Games Lost to measure which units were affected most by injuries. Philadelphia on offense was the leader big time. They have a lot of talent and mostly big play.

The Eagles face some different challenges in Week 2. They have historically had trouble with tight ends, and Antonio Gates is among the more dangerous ones. Rivers also throws to 6-foot-5 wideout Malcolm Floyd, who might be covered by the 5-9 Boykin.
