Yes Missouri got their signature win last week. But we told you they would as they played an injury-ravaged Georgia team. The truth is that was the toughest foe they faced and they were grossly short-handed.
Now it is Missouri who is short-handed. QB James Franklin, the bell cow of the offense is out. Maty Mauk has solid as his replacement, but that was a short-term change-of-pace and against a bad UGA offense.
Sit down. Florida allows 3.2 yards per rushing attempt versus teams normally getting 5.4, 5.0 passing yards per attempt to 7.5 and 4.2 yards per play to 6.4. This is easily the best team and defense Mizzou and their backup QB have seen.
Yes the Gators lost Matt Jones, but they have depth at running back led by Mack Brown. Also, it is Missouri that was living off their offense against so/so teams. The Gators have one of the top defenses.
