Major
(NCAAF) Colorado State vs. Washington State,
Point Spread: -4.50 | -105.00 Washington State (Home)
Result: Loss
Mike Leach has Washington State in the bowls for the first time since 2003, so let there be no question about how seriously the Cougars view this contest. WSU Lost just 31-24 to Auburn, who is playing for the national title, so this team can play.

The six FBS opponents CSU beat were a combined 17-55 straight up. With that creampuff schedule, a quality team would have won at least 10 games. Colorado State played one ranked team: Alabama losing 31-6. Obviously Washington State is not ranked, but they sure are better than any team CSU beat.

RB Kapri Bibbs in the star for the Rams, but Washington State is very solid against the run allowing just 4.4 yards per rushing attempt versus teams normally getting 4.7.

CSU actually played several option teams down the stretch and did well. Problem is that Washington State is the polar opposite. While Colorado State played foes that averaged a cumulative 31 passes a game, they face a team that averages 58 and completes 36, which is more completions that CSU previous foes even averaged taking.

Look for the small underdogs to be overwhelmed by a passing game unlike anything they faced in their weak schedule.
