It's the perfect storm of undervalued versus overvalued. Tulane has played only the 290th toughest schedule. Marshall has played the 181st. Marshall has had terrible fortune with eight losses by single digits but nary a win. Four losses were by three or less, twice by just one. Tulane meanwhile is 7-2 in single digit games, three by three or fewer including a one-point win in their last game.

Over the past 10 weeks, Marshall has snagged five C-USA Freshman of the Week honors. The point being that they are a young team that should peak right about now. And the scoreboard says they are much better than their straight up mark.
They can put all their focus into this very winnable game. Marshall will have six days off between contests before taking on C-USA newcomer Charlotte on the road. Two days earlier, Tulane will begin a two game road trip. Marshall gets the upset.
