Major
(NCAAF) Texas A&M vs. South Carolina,
Point Spread: -10.00 | -113.00 South Carolina (Home)
Result: Loss
Yes South Carolina is replacing Connor Shaw and Jadeveon Clowney, but A&M is replacing one of the best players in the history of college football in Johnny Manziel. In an offense that lives off the pass, he is literally as valuable of a player to his team as any in history. Oh perhaps their three top offensive players are gone including receiver Mike Evans and offensive lineman Jake Matthews.

A&M has a horrible defense and is extremely young in the secondary. South Carolina has one of the top offensive lines in the country. In the secondary they will be missing two-year starter DeVante Harris for the early portion of the 2014 season due to a urinary tract injury. They will have a ton of raw talent in said secondary.

Veteran Dylan Thompson takes over at QB for the Cocks. He has had some baptism by fire and knows the Spurrier system well. Mike Davis ran for 1,183 yards the fourth highest total in South Carolina history last year and Spurrier plans to keep him grinding forward this fall. Look for Spurrier to exploit Victor Davis. He has issues in coverage in scrimmages going back to last summer.

This is a brutal spot for a rebuilt Aggies team opening up on the road against a bigger and stronger squad.
