This has the feel of the past two seasons for the Angels, especially a year ago, when things really began to unravel in August. It looks like the Halos have wasted a golden chance to make up ground in the AL West by losing three of four to Oakland, another two of three to Colorado, and again last night vs. the Mets. New York, with much more going for it these days than Oakland or Colorado, has fought back into the NL wild card picture, and David Peterson had been very sharp on the mound prior to his last start on Sunday vs. the Braves, surrendering no more than two runs in his four previous July starts.
