Next thing you know, Rob Manfred will be allowing batters to hit from a tee in A's games in order to increase the scoring and cater to Fantasy/Rotisserie addicts who crave flashy offensive stats. None of those lately in Oakland games, which has featured only 20 runs across the past six games. Not sure we got a lot more offense tonight, either, with A's starter JP Sears posting a 1.57 ERA and 0.73 WHIP across his last four starts, while Brewers counterpart Aaron Civale has allowed only 2 runs across 12 1/3 IP in his last two starts.
