LSU vs USC
(NCAAF) Trojans (USC) vs. Tigers (LSU),
Total: 64.00 | -112.00 Over
Result: Loss
We haven't seen these two on the field together since 1984, when the (Dalton) Hilliard-(Gerry) James Gang waltzed into the LA Coliseum and exited an easy 23-3 winner. That was the return match from a classic in 1979 at Baton Rouge when Charlie McClendon's last LSU team nearly upset top-ranked SC at Tiger Stadium when the Trojans rallied late for a 17-12 escape. To 2024, and this "total" for the colorful opener in Las Vegas seems to be rising, for good reason, with SC entering 2024 on a 21-6 "over" run, and LSU even more-pronounced (19-2 "over" last 21). Of course, the last two Heisman winners (Caleb Williams & Jayden Daniels) have moved onto the NFL, but successor pilots Miller Moss (SC) and Garrett Nussmeier (LSU) both starred in their respective bowl games, suggesting neither offense is likely to drop too far. Defenses, though, remain question marks after both leaked far too profusely last season, prompting both Lincoln Riley and Brian Kelly to enlist new coordinators. Play LSU-USC "Over" (at Las Vegas)
