Titans at Bears
(NFL) Titans (TEN) vs. Bears (CHI),
Point Spread: -3.50 | -110.00 Bears (CHI) (Home)
Result: Win
Legendary Gold Sheet founder Mort Olshan had a favorite saying about taking a lead with a team that he thought might be ready to embark upon a
winning or losing streak against the spread. "If you're wrong," Mort said, "you lose one game. Don't let that scare you away." So it goes with the Bears, who we think might deserve an early look, partly based upon a near-flowless 4-0 preseason, partly also on USC rookie QB Caleb Williams looking extremely comfy in limited August stints. Remember, too, that matt Eberflus almost whipped Chicago back into NFC wild card contention last season as the Bears closed 6-2-1 vs. the spread. We also need more evidence re: the Titans and second-year QB Will Levis, who blew hot-and-cold in his maiden NFL voyage a year ago. It's also a new era at Tennessee with first-year HC Brian Callahan, most recently o c for the Bengals; Mike Vrabel might prove a harder act to replace than some in Music City might think. Play Bears
