Braves at Nationals
(MLB) Braves (ATL) vs. Nationals (WAS),
Point Spread: -1.50 | 105.00 Braves (ATL) (Away)
Result: Loss
To quote one George Corley Wallace, "No more pussy-footin' around" for the Braves, who are in a real scrap with the Mets for the last NL wild card spot that sits level after last night's results. Atlanta looked like it got down to business in D.C. in last night's 12-0 romp. Max Fried looks ready for the stretch run after blasting seven solid innings at the Blue Jays last Friday, allowing only one run (unearned) and five hits in a 3-1 win. Fried is spinning a 2.08 ERA across his last four starts. For the Nats, the season can't end soon enough, on a current 3-7 skid and now trying to avoid 90 losses (they're at 80 with 18 games to go). Washington has also lost in Jake Irvin's last three starts, and Irvin was smashed across the last two when posting an 11.07 ERA (sheesh!). Play Braves on Run Line
