Boston College at Missouri
(NCAAF) Eagles (BC) vs. Tigers (MIZ),
Point Spread: 15.50 | -115.00 Eagles (BC) (Away)
Result: Win
The number has been steadily dropping for this game, for good reason. Some SEC observers are suggesting that Mizzou was flying a bit under the radar last season, but now the Tigers are a known quantity and wearing a bigger target. Brady Cook and top target Luther Burden haven't started to click, perhaps a function of scaling things back vs. lesser opposition the first two weeks, butt Mizzou backers are wishing they would have been a bit more productive in the past two weeks. Meanwhile, Bill O'Brien's BC team looks like it means business, with a well-balanced attack led by electric QB Thomas Castellanos, and a rough-house defense that already broke Florida State's offense in a Labor Day night romp at Tallahassee. Looks like too many points; remember, too, that Jeff Hafley's Eagles beat Mizzou three years ago in Chestnut Hill. The gap is not that wide here. Play BC
