The Pirates were hoping the Marlins might stick around after sweeping Miami earlier this week. Unfortunately for the Bucs, the playoff-bound Royals aren't the Marlins, jumping all over Luis Ortiz in the first inning last night while rolling to an 11-3 win. Kansas City has taken advantage of many sub-.500 teams like the Bucs, while Michael Wacha has been one of the pleasant surprises of the season in the Royals rotation and is off perhaps his best effort of the season when firing seven shutout innings at the Twins while only allowing four hits this past Sunday.
