What if Kirk Cousins is actually damaged goods, or at least more so than many of us believed back in April when the Falcons surprised the masses by picking Washington QB Michael Penix with the eighth choice in the first round of the draft. While many decried the move, and wondered why Atlanta would draft a QB in the first round as opposed for looking for more likely immediate help at another position, all the more confusing after adding Cousins in a big-money offseason deal, perhaps it was because of questions regarding Cousins. Watching Cousins and the Atlanta offense struggle in the opener vs. Pittsburgh, we can fairly speculate if that is the case, and Atlanta wasn't so convinced about Cousins and his return from last fall's Achilles tear. Still some questions regarding new hire HC Raheem Morris, who has yet to win (including the preseason), and the Eagles were flying pretty high in the Brazil opener vs. the pack, with Saquon Barkley making an immediate impact to the offense.
