Inter has waited 15 months to get another shot at Man City after a bitter 1-0 loss in the Champions League final at Istanbul a year ago June. The Nerazzurri might have deserved a better fate, keeping City on its heels, and only some wasteful moments from Romelu Lukaku, spectacularly so, denied Inter at least a shot at an overtime, if not a regulation-time win. Simone Inzaghi's troops have started a bit slowly this season in Serie A, with two draws along with two wins to date, but Inter strengthened itself in the offseason. Almost all of the familiar faces return from the side that has dominated Serie A the past two seasons, led by Lautaro on the frontlines. City are formidable, of course, but we do not necessarily expect this to go the same way as another Italy vs England matchup on Tuesday, when Liverpool's ruthless counterattack put AC Milan off balance, and set pieces did in the Rossoneri.
