Let's rewind to the last time Andy Dalton started a game at QB for the Panthers. It was early last season at Seattle, and Dalton put the ball in the air a staggering 58 times as he replaced the injured Bryce Young. Carolina also scored 27 points, a scoreboard explosion for the Panthers. Putting a serviceable NFL QB on the field like Dalton should at least spark the Panthers, who have been saddled by the burden of Young, now benched. At least the Carolina will have a move NFL-like look about it this week. As for Dalton's last start a year ago, note that game vs. the Seahawks ended up featuring 64 points.
