Royals at Nationals
(MLB) Royals (KAN) vs. Nationals (WAS),
Point Spread: -1.50 | 100.00 Royals (KAN) (Away)
Result: Win
The Nats showed up on the schedule just in time for the Royals, who have taken advantage and won the past two nights, snapping a seven-game skid and now on the cusp of securing an AL wild card, which could happen today. These last two days in D.C. for Royals has been more fun than a side-trip to Ben's Chili Bowl for a half-smoke, winning the last two days by shutouts and on the verge of sewing up an AL wild card. Remember, KC has feasted upon the lesser teams all season, and like the chances of Michael Wacha, who has spun a fine 1.99 ERA in four September starts, continuing that trend vs. sinking Washington, which looked like it wanted to get the season finished a month ago. We're not expecting the Nats' battered Patrick Corbin (with a 6.14 ERA in September) to outduel the capable Wacha in this matinee. Play Royals on Run Line
