Rangers at A's
(MLB) Rangers (TEX) vs. Athletics (OAK),
Money Line: -103.00 Athletics (OAK) (Home)
Result: Win
The day they've been dreading in Oakland has arrived. But before that, a history reminder for these situations might be in order. Back in 1971, when the Washington Senators played their last home game before moving to Dallas-Fort Worth, angry fans stormed the field in a Euro-style "pitch invasion" causing the Senators to forfeit a game vs. the Yankees they were leading. Closer to home, Oakland fans remember the Raiders losing their last home game against the Jags (ironically led by current Raider QB Gardner Minshew). So it goes this afternoon for the A's as they bid adieu to the Coliseum in their final home game, long since a sellout. This time, however, we expect Oakland to respond as it did on Monday night. Rookie JT Ginn is off of a pretty good start vs. the Yankees, allowing just one run and four hits in 5 IP last Friday, and Mark Kotsay's bullpen has been pretty durable all season.
Ex-Vandy star Kumar Rocker gets his third MLB start for the Rangers, displaying some good stuff (12 K in just 7 IP) but not lasting past the 4th inning in either appearance. Shouldn't Oakland go out a winner at the Coliseum? Play A's on Money Line
