This might be the last chance saloon for Billy Napier, as a loss to UCF might prove the final straw in his tenure at Gainesville, where there is a daunting gauntlet of challenges (Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, Texas, LSU one-after-another) on deck. But there was some encouragement in the most-recent game on September 21 when blasting Mississippi State, 45-28, as Napier's QB rotation of Graham Mertz and frosh DJ Lagway passed the Bulldogs silly, completing 26 of 28 passes between them for 3 TDs in what was a 503-yard offensive fireworks display. Rotating QBs is tricky business, but sometimes it works. Meanwhile, we wonder about Gus Malzahn's UCF, which was hammered last week by Colorado in Orlando in its first serious test of the season. The Knights' infantry, one of the tops in the nation the first three games, found the going a bit tougher vs. the Buffs, and KJ Jefferson's pair of interceptions last week are a concern. Play Florida
