Another performance like last night and the Phils bullpen might have to enroll in the witness protection problem. That's becasue Phils relievers effectively blew up a gem being pitched by Zack Wheeler thru seven innings in Game One. A 1-0 Philly lead turned into a 5-1 deficit in the 8th inning when Jeff Hoffman and Matt Strahm effectively imploded from the bullpen.But the Phils will take their chances on Sunday with with Christopher Sanchez, who was 7-3 with a 2.21 ERA at CBP this season. Philly also won his home start vs. the Mets on September 15, allowing just 1 run thru 7 IP of an eventual 2-1 win. The Phils closed the season winning six straight in games started by Sanchez. Meanwhile, Luis Severino looks perhaps the most-vulnerable of the Mets rotation, with a 5.32 WEA across his last four starts, though he did get the win (with lots of help from his offense) in Game One of the Wild Card Round vs. Milwaukee.
