Does it matter who AJ Hinch starts on the mound for the Tigers if he's once again going to make this a bullpen game? Maybe not as Detroit has this series set up exactly as it would like, with Hinch quietly confident that he can find another opener from his bullpen as the Tigers have worked that angle better than any team since the All-Star break. What we do know is that Cleveland is actually rolling the dice in Game 3 with Stephen Vogt calling upon Alex Cobb, who only pitched in three games this season and none since September 1 when he collared the Pirates. It's a definite gamble from Vogt, who is just glad to not be facing Tarik Skubal as in Game 2. Detroit has not been scoring a lot of runs in this ALCS but is nonetheless level, and like it was the last two months of the season with different heroes emerging, Kerry Carpenter's three-run homer broke the scoreless deadlock in Game 2. Though the opener act didn't work for Hinch in Game One, his success with bullpen games the past two months that we can at least say Hinch knows what he's doing. Play Tigers on Money Line
