Phillies at Mets
(MLB) Phillies (PHI) vs. Mets (NYM),
Money Line: -102.00 Mets (NYM) (Home)
Result: Win
Shades of 1969 for the Mets? The Phillies have looked a step slow in this series, fortunate to still be alive after rallying from behind in Game 2 and now with their backs to the wall. Were this April or May, when the Phils won ten straight starts by Ranger Suarez, the narrative might be different today. But Suarez began to cool in mid-June, and after he shelved for a month just after the All-Star break, his return to active duty has been anything but triumphant, with a 5.74 ERA in seven starts, including Phils losses across the last three. Rob Thomson has the hook ready and the Philly bullpen an alert. The Mets look very capable of wrapping this up if Jose Quintana pitches as he has the past month, with an 0;.58 ERA across his last five starts. Does this feel a bit like 1969? Play Mets on Money Line
