It's no news here if this is another bullpen game for AJ Hinch and the Tigers, but by now we should know that isn't a problem for Detroit. Since the trade deadline, Hinch has worked the opener angle better even than Kevin Cash and Tampa Bay when introducing the concept several years ago. AL Cy Young favorite Tarik Skubal helped out in Game 2. for sure, but the bottom line is that the Cleveland offense is in another of its funks that we saw from time-to-time this season. The Guardians have been blanked twice in a row and stare at elimination on Thursday vs. another Tigers opener.
Tanner Bibee pitched 4 2/3 shutout innings for Cleveland in Game One, but if Stephen Vogt can't get the Guardians offense moving, and soon, this series ends today. Play Tigers on Money Line
