More specifically, MTSU already regrets the hire of HC Derek Mason, which caused many in the region to scoff after the capable Rick Stockstill had taken the Blue Raiders to many bowls in previous years in Murfreesboro. Mason's only win was a squeaker in the opener vs. FCS Tennessee Tech; the offense is a mess, scoring only 12 ppg since, and can't run (only 2.7 ypc). Meanwhile, some occasional moments of competence from Sonny Cumbie's La Tech qualifies as something of an endorsement, considering the opposition. Sometimes the go-against angle is strong enough...this is definitely an anti-MTSU vote in Ruston. Play La Tech
