Mets at Dodgers
(MLB) Mets (NYM) vs. Dodgers (LAD),
Money Line: 138.00 Mets (NYM) (Away)
Result: Loss
Full of confidence, the Mets will enter LA with no fear after taking care of the Brewers and Phillies, both in dramatic fashion in the close-out games,. But it's been that way since June for the Mets, who began their ascent four months ago and haven't yet stopped climbing. Meanwhile, the Dodger pitching reappeared just in time vs. the Padres in their NLDS, though San Diego helped the LA cause by looking to pull every pitch and hit homers as opposed to making contact, when good things can happen. We trust the Mets don't fall into the same trap. Kodai Senga has only pitched once in 2 1/2 months for the Mets, but was active again in the previous round vs. the Phils and worked two fairly clean innings. Carlos Mendoza might like to go a bit further with him on Sunday, while Mets bats are itching to take swings vs. Jack Flaherty, who faltered last in the season, and a 6.52 ERA across his last four starts.
