Steelers at Commanders
(NFL) Steelers (PIT) vs. Commanders (WAS),
Point Spread: 2.50 | 100.00 Steelers (PIT) (Away)
Result: Win
The same people who say they saw this coming from the Commanders might also have been saying the same thing about Buster Douglas beating Mike Tyson. Clairvoyance! But Washington is indeed putting the squeeze on the rest of the NFC East in sometimes magical fashion behind LSU Heisman rookie QB Jayden Daniels. This, however, is Mike Tomlin's sort of game, as the Steelers have long produced winning marks in the underdog role (9-4 the last thirteen receiving points), and so far the transition to Russell Wilson at QB has gone well enough, with Pittsburgh 2-0 in the Russ starts. The Steelers have also allowed 20 points or fewer in seven of their eight games this season. Daniels and the Commanders will be looking at some real pressure this week as well as TJ Watt and the Steelers defense take aim at the LSU rookie. Pittsburgh is also one NFL team faring almost as well vs. the spread (6-2) as is Washington (7-1-1). Play Steelers
