It's Sacramento Ho(!) for the A's as they make their debut down the street from Gavin Newsom for what is expected to be a three-year run before the relocation to Las Vegas. The A's battled hard in Seattle over the weekend to get a four-game split, with pitching the unquestioned highlight, especially the starters who allowed only three runs across the four games vs. the Mariners. Joey Estes works the debut at Sutter Health Park (nee Raley's Field) after some fairly decent numbers a year ago at home when the A's were still campaigning in Oakland, and a 3.26 ERA in eleven starts at the Coliseum. Meanwhile, Cubs starter Ben Brown was hit hard in his only work thus far of 2025 when the Dodgers roughed him up in Japan two weeks ago (three runs, two earned, and four hits in just 2 2/3 IP March 18).
