A bit frustrating for the Wild with this trip in New York, losing in a shootout at the Rock on Monday vs. the Devils and in OT on Wednesday at MSG vs. the Rangers. In the process, Minnesota has been passed by the surging Blues for the seventh slot in the West playoff order, though the Wild still look good to make the playoffs, even if the eighth seed. Though the Wild has at least been picking up points on this road swing, and GK Filip Gustavsson did have a 1.98 GAA in March. It's out to Belmont Park tonight, but we're not sure the Islanders can do what the Devils and Rangers did earlier this week, as the bottom has dropped out at UBS Arena with six straight losses effectively knocking the Isles out of the East playoff mix. We wonder about the mood in the clubhouse, too, with Patrick Roy recently doing a public (and almost unprecedented) blasting of Anthony Duclair, who has since stepped away from the team.
