Braves at Orioles
(MLB) Braves (ATL) vs. Orioles (BAL),
Money Line: 116.00 Orioles (BAL) (Home)
Result: Win
The only way these few past days could have gone worse for the Braves is if they were detoured to Camden Yards from D.C. via the Key Bridge (wait, the bridge got knocked down by a stray cargo ship earlier in the spring). It was bad enough for Atlanta to get swept away on the weekend at Nats Park, as post-Ronald Acuna, the Braves have been looking increasingly listless in an extended 6-10 skid. One of the few bright spots has been Tuesday starter Max Fried, with his 2.92 ERA, but this looks very much a "reputation" line. It's not based upon recent form, because the Birds are winning, a lot, now 14-4 across their last 18 games after sweeping four from the Rays in St. Pete, and Albert Suarez continues as the pleasant surprise of pleasant surprises since moving into the rotation, with a 1.93 ERA across his past three starts, and a solid bullpen behind him.
