Once upon a time this matchup could turn into a real slugfest. Time and circumstance, however, suggest screlines more like last night's 4-1 when these sides meet. The Reds surely feel confident about Nick Lodolo, who has a 2.31 ERA in four outings since returning to active duty in late May, while working into the 7th inning in all three June starts. Bailey Falter's numbers not quite as eye-opening on the Pirates side, but for the most part he has been a reliable contributor to the rotation, with a 3.49 ERA across his last six starts if we toss out the June 6 loss to the Dodgers.
