Maybe the cosmos have again aligned for MacKenzie Gore, who celebrates one year to the day the last time he pitched at Petco Park when he got the win last June 25 against the Padres. Gore has pitched better on the road (where his ERA is 2.28) than at home all season, and the Nats proved they could battle in this series after rallying to force extra innings last night before losing in the 10th. That was last night, however, when the Padres had their hottest pitcher (Matt Waldron) on the mound. It certainly hasn't been rookie Adam Mazur, who might soon be ticketed back to the AAA El Paso Chihuahuas after four very shaky efforts , a 7.27 ERA and 1.96 WHIP. Play Nats on Money Line
