Sure, Max Scherzer looked good in his 2024 debut for Texas last weekend, spinning five solid innings vs. the Royals. But not much has worked since for the Rangers, especially this week's road trip in which Texas has lost four in a row, including last night's thumping at Camden Yards. Short-term, at least, GM Chris Young's public flogging off his offense, and resultant roster moves, earlier this week seem a bit curious as it came right after Texas had finally seemed to generate some momentum. Speaking of momentum, the O's might have regained some with wins in their last two following an uncharacteristic five-game skid, and even if Albert Suarez struggles on the mound as he has in his past couple of starts, Brandon Hyde has a deep and versatile bullpen to pick up the baton early if needed.
