Sort of where it all started four weeks ago for the Mets, who were floundering at 24-35 but proceeded to sweep the Nats in D.C. and eventually get above .500 before the end of the month prior to a couple of tough losses the last two days to the hot Astros. Still the arrow points up for this return trip to Washington, especially as the Mets won all four starts made by David Peterson, including June 4 at Nats Park when allowing just 2 runs in 6 2/3 IP. Meanwhile, MacKenzie Gore has been knocked around a bit for the Nats in his last two starts (6.30 ERA), and was hit hard on June 3 by the Mets when allowing six runs and seven hits thru 4 1/2 IP of an eventual 8-7 loss.
