Oddsmakers are obviously impressed by some of the numbers of Atlanta starter Reynaldo Lopez, including his 1.83 ERA. Lopez, however, rarely works beyond five innings, and despite the win on Saturday, the Braves have been steadily losing ground the past two weeks to the Phillies, almost over the horizon in the NL East. Also not sure how much of a negative for Philly to be going with recent add Michael Mercado on the mound, either, given that he went five strong innings (one run and two hits allowed) vs. the Cubs in his first start and picked up a win.
