For a first-place team, Cleveland is sure doing a lot of juggling with tis rotation, demoting two starters (Triston McKenzie and Logan Allen) within the past two weeks, and recently-added Spencer Howard called up to replace Allen for this start vs. the Tigers. When last seen, Howard was still with the Giants less than two weeks ago and took a battering in a weekend loss to the Dodgers, and his 5.63 ERA with SF earlier this season doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. Meanwhile, the Tigers continue to play the Guardians tough in this series, and Jack Flaherty (who could be in the shopping window for the upcoming deadline) has a 2.72 ERA since the start of May.
