By now we have learned not to overreact to these brief burst by the Angels, who were on their way to 20 games under by the All-Star break until winning the last three of the four-game set vs. the Mariners last weekend. The Halos had a bit of momentum when they hit Oakland a few weeks ago, today, only to get swept three straight, and not scoring a run in the last two of those losses. JP Sears was on the mound for the July 4th win over the Halos, allowing just two hits in five shutout innings, and Oakland has actually won in his last three starts.
