It's an all-green matchup in this one, as the North Texas Mean Green host the Tulane Green Wave. The line for this AAC game has moved a bit this week, and I'm honestly not sure why.
Initially, Tulane was a 9.5-point favorite. The spread is down to 7.5, and I like them quite a bit. The Green Wave's defense is coming in off its best game of the season, a four-turnover performance against Rice. They'll be tested here, going on the road against a very capable offense, but Tulane's own offense is capable of big games, too. They may have been a bit rusty scoring 24 against Rice coming off the bye week, but before that, they put up 41, 45, and 71 points in three straight contests.
North Texas's offense has plenty of firepower, but their defense hasn't shown any ability to stop a competent offense. They gave up 66 points to Texas Tech and, last week, yielded 52 points to Memphis. Tulane should be able to move the ball at will, and while North Texas will put up points, it may need to score almost every drive to compensate for its weaknesses. Against a defense that's rounding into form, I don't think that happens.
Take Tulane and give 7.5 points.
