The MAC is back on Tuesday, and my focus heads to Ohio. The Toledo Rockets host the Chippewas of Central Michigan, and I don't think this one's close.
At their best, the Rockets are a pretty good football team. Among their victories are a thrashing of Mississippi State and a win over Northern Illinois. The Rockets are averaging well over 300 passing yards per game, and wide receivers Jerjuan Newton and Junior Vandeross III are both legitimate threats.
The questions about Toledo come on defense, but on Tuesday, I don't think they've got much to worry about. Central Michigan has been downright terrible on offense all year long, and they're swooning even more near the end of this season. In last week's 23-13 loss to Bowling Green, the Chippewas posted just 250 total yards and went 7-of-17 through the air. They did even worse two weeks ago, tallying 168 total yards in a 46-7 loss to Miami (OH).
Toledo is going to move the ball and put up a bunch of points. I can't say the same about Central Michigan, and I think this one's going to be over pretty early. Take the Rockets and give the 14 points.
