We've got NIT action on tap Tuesday, as Middle Tennessee State hosts Chattanooga. The Blue Raiders are the home team in this one, but I'll be pulling for the visitors to spring the upset.

Chattanooga enjoyed a strong regular season. After an 0-3 start, the Mocs won 24 of their next 29 games before an overtime loss to Furman in their conference tournament. Along the way, they beat NCAA tournament team Bryant and gave both Saint Mary's and Indiana competitive games. This is a strong team with a formidable offense, one KenPom ranks in the top 60 nationally.

Middle Tennessee, meanwhile, just doesn't seem as efficient. They don't shoot the ball particularly well, and while the Blue Raiders went 22-11, their luck was off the charts this season. They went 3-0 in overtime games, and I'm just not sold on the quality of Conference USA this season. I think Chattanooga played a stronger schedule and had more high-quality showings against good teams.

For that reason, give me the Mocs getting 2.5, and if you want to investigate the underdogs on the money line at +115, I won't stop you!
