Diamondbacks over Phillies- Philadelphia is looking to return to the World Series and with Bryce Harper on a mission they are the favorite and will open the NCLS with Zack Wheeler (1-0, 2.08 ERA postseason) he allowed one run and struck out eight in 6 2/3 innings in a win over the Miami Marlins in the wild-card round. He permitted three runs (two earned) and fanned 10 in 6 1/3 frames of a no-decision against Atlanta. He is 6-3 with a 2.96 ERA in 11 career appearances (all starts) against Arizona after splitting a pair of decisions versus the Diamondbacks in the regular season. Arizona will send right-hander Zac Gallen (2-0, 3.18) to the hill and he has been consistent in his two starts in the postseason. He yielded two runs on five hits in each start to help Arizona record a sweep over both the Milwaukee Brewers (in the wild-card round) and Dodgers (in the NLDS). Gallen is 3-1 with a 2.22 ERA in five career appearances (all starts) versus the Phillies. Through it all I spoke of the ‘mojo’ and a case can be made for both sides and this has become the a move for the most unlikely scenario as the Phillies did last season. Take ARIZONA!
