Peterson was the Mets most consistent hurler in 21 starts this season with only three losses and an ERA of 2.90. He has been used only in relief in the post-season working just 2.1 innings. If they can, the Mets will go as deep with Peterson as they can, and he is capable, having gone 7.0 against the Brewers and 7.2 against the Phillies in late September starts when the pennant pressure was on.
