Mike Trout is out for this one for the home side, but his replacement is on fire right now, as Brian Goodwin enters hitting .412. Last night I gave out a free play wager on the Mariners at +175 for the Angels, but now I believe the value has swung the other way.
Matt Andriese is 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA after pitching five innings of scoreless relief vs. the A's in his first appearance.
The Astros' Lance McCullers Jr. is 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA. McCullers wsa hit or miss with his peformance last year, but one thing mentally working against him and the rest of his teammates today is that this is their first game of the season on the road. The extra Covid 19 protocols are difficult and I think that definitely favors the home side as well.
